AE_OpenGL: Failed display color channel 5065 :: 0
by rreichenfeld on Sep 23, 2007 at 5:44:12 pm

I'm using Adobe After Effects, I just download the latest software update and ever since I have been getting an error message that reads "After Effects error: AE_OpenGL: Failed display color channel 5065 :: 0". I looked up the error code on the Adobe site and it says that I should make sure my graphics card (GeForce 8600M GT w/ 256mb) is up to date.

But when I go on the Nvidia site I cannot locate a the drivers. They only have options for Windows, Linux, Solaris, and FreeBSD (have no idea what those last two are). There are no Mac or OS X options. I'm perplexed.

Where can I find the drivers? Is updating my drivers even the solution?

Any help would be GREATLY appreaciated seeing that I have a deadline this week. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Usually drivers for Mac hardware are included with the OS. Do you have the latest Mac OS?

If you can't find the drivers, then to heck with it. Just turn off Open GL. Open GL has never been fully implemented in AE.

Open GL: great for gamers, no big deal in AE. Turn it off and get to work.
