I'm trying to render a small clip. One solid layer with a 3D Warp (Zaxwerks) applied. I also have a camera set up. I'm just providing these details in case they are relevant. Output to a tiff sequence, RGB+Alpha , Straight Unmatted. It looks like it's about to start when I hit render but returns something that I can't decipher:
After Effects error: Failure during Render (4)
(25 :: 60)
This is in Windows XP (32 bit).
I'm thinking maybe this is a system failure, due to this system not being very robust for something like 3D Invigorator. P4 2.5ghz, 1.5 333 ram. Maybe it's something else. Anyone have an idea please let me know. Thanks.
But AE has been pretty well-behaved since 6.0. The causes of errors are generally:
- wonky or old plugins
- no more RAM
- no more disk space
- rendering a >4GB file on FAT32 drives without segmenting being set up
- uisng MP3 audio sources, or MPEG-like video sources
Im pretty sure its Zaxwerks. I just got the exact same error when trying to ram-preview my project (with only solids zaxwerks, and a camera), and while working on a PC I can not render with zaxwerks, but when I render on a mac I have no problem.

I too, am getting the same error with Zaxwerks Invigorator.
Just a guess, but it seems to occur when I have more than one 3D element in the scene at a time. I rendered each seperately and it worked... having to combine them all in the end (Use precomp proxies to make this easier on yourself).
