Exporting w/ alpha channel in after effects
by LondonAlleyEnt on Aug 30, 2007 at 12:45:05 am

Im trying to export a logo I made in after effects 7 while keeping the alpha channel.
As far as I know the only way to do this is with the Animation codec.... but this codec behaves very wierd when watched on a tv or when inported into Final Cut Pro.
Are there any other ways to do this???

thanks
Luga

The problem you are experiencing has nothing to do with the codec, except that it is a very high datarate, uncompressed file type. If it is playing back oddly in FCP, try tweaking your RT settings (on the left side of the timeline). Usually setting RT options to Dynamic or Low will allow high datarate files like this to play back smoothly.
