animating text outlines + fill letters with scribble effect

Hello,
I want to have a text which is building up on screen through lines that are following the outlines while on the same time the letters are filled with the scribble effect. (LiveType has a nice feature but you cannot change the type)
OK, the scribble effect is not the problem but I don't know how I can animate the outline "effect".
My problem starts with creating a motion path, especially with letters like Q or A because of the inner space (sorry for that complicated description, I'm not an english native speaker...).
The second problem is that I don't know how to animate lines which are following the outlines - ok, I know I could just animate masks but this wouldn't be a good solution because I have a lot of text to animate and I want to be a bit more flexible when the customer wants to change half of the text.

You can convert Text to a Mask on a Solid.
actually a lot of masks (because of inner shapes etc.)
I would add 1 Scribble set to "all masks using modes", mode: Inside.
this will fill all letters with a scribble,
now you can either add a stroke to that (a clean line respecting the original form of the letters)
or add a second Scribble, set to "centered edge" instead of inside.
Make the edge very naarow, and you get a sketchy approximatiopn opf the letter.
