help with 3d

If i create an object in 3d -- say a car and now i want to put that 3d object (that i created in another comp) in my main comp... but i want the car to retain all its 3d properties... how can i do it?

It's a layer switch between the Shy guy and layer quality, it looks sort of like a sun.
