Getting the most out of AE 7.0
by dups303 (Dups303) on Apr 30, 2007 at 9:36:35 pm

I recently purchased and Boxx computer with the following specs,

Microsoft Windows XP
Professional x64 Edition
Version 2003
Service Pack 2, v.2825

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU
5140 @ 2.33GHz
2.33 GHz, 4.00 of RAM

My question to you is what settings I can change in AE 7.0 to get the best performance out of the computer and the software. My previous computer with 1gb of ram seemed just as fast as this new computer. Any ideas would really help me out.

Thanks

CPU and Ram is only a part of the picture...
...Fast video ram and lots of video Rams helps...
...Also, a Raid system would be good... or, at least a very fast HD is a plus... this is specially true if you use a designate HD channel (i.e., a seperate HD) to render your video.

Your machine is only as fast as the slowest portion of your computer.
