Viewing Other Layers While Working with A Mask
by sdelahoyde on Nov 30, 2006 at 5:55:19 pm

I'm trying to build a little project with a stroke line going through a series of solids, like a slalom. Looking at it from Top perspective and have everything built just fine. Only problem, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it, even though I'm sure it's just a toggle somewhere, is how to view those solid layers whenever I start working with the mask/path. Whenever you touch the mask to alter it, the layers below disappear. So I can build the thing, sure, but that means having to tweak the mask, go back and look where it is in relation to the solids, alter it a bit, ad naseum. There has to be a way to tell AE to just leave all the layers visible when working with masks and looking from above.

Thanks,
Steve

Switch from OpenGL to Adaptive Resolution and make sure you set the Adaptive resolution reduction in your preferences to something you deem acceptable.
