Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction - Question
by Durable01 on Nov 30, 2006 at 5:44:55 pm

I have a project in After Effects, when I Render the Composition it exports as if the Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction toggle is off making it wider that normal. When I bring the footage into Premiere it squishes it back down to the normal 720 x 480 that I am used to looking at. This annoys me because some of my footage looks strange, Can anyone explain why it does this? Is there anyway to export with the pixel aspect ration correction turned on so it looks normal when exported? Thanks!

Yeah, just use the NTSC DV Composition Preset. Don't try creating your own. If you do, just change it to NTSC DV in the composition settings. Life will be good.
