Text that blows away like sand
by newbie2006 on Nov 10, 2006 at 1:28:33 pm

Hi,

I am a new AE user and just recently found this website. All of your comments have been very helpful.
I read through all of the stickys I could find but none of them answered my question on this subject.

This is in reguards to the tutorial posted on creative cow

http://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_page_wrapper.cgi?forumid=1&page=h...

I am getting stuck on the second step, adding the mask to the wind composite.

I am sure this is a simple step that I am missing but I can not for the life of me figure it out.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Create your new layer, make sure it is comp size, Now take the pen tool and start drawing. You will want to drag the bezier points to get the look like in the example. Make sure you close the mask, otherwise it will be just a path. To close it, make sure that the last point is the same as the first point.

Hope this helps

Mark
