DNX Codecs where and how to use
by Lowtech on Sep 1, 2006 at 6:55:53 pm

Hey Cows
I'am looking for advise on how to install the DNX codec and how to use them. This is so the avid editors will not have to render the files i hand them. Any other tips on how to deal with the new avid hd systems would be a big help

If they are to go on a PC, then they should go into the system32 folder of your C drive...on mac I have no clue, as I am not a Mac guy :-)

You should also be aware that the DNX codec does not support Alpha channels. Found that out the hard way. I spoke to the Avid codec people at NAB and they said at that time that they did not know when the codec would support alphas.
