Rendering times in AE7 when exporting movie

I have just upgraded my system to dual AMD Opterons 2.2Ghz each with 4MB ram on a Tyan K8WE board. I am running Windows XP Pro64 and using GridIron Nucleo for max CPU. My video card is a eVGA 7800GTX 256M. My AV drive at this point are 2 x 250GB Barracuda 7,200 rpm SATA drives on Raid 0.
My first project using this system is made up of several compositions but a typical one has first layer a blue screen DV to which is applied Keylight+Fill Suppresion+Matte Choker+Colour Finnesse. Then 2 layers each DV footage with only scale and location changes, then 4 tracks of still with no animation just scale and location.
When I make a movie of a 3min 14sec composition (lossless) and render it out to a 6+GB avi file it takes 22mins.
Should I be happy or mad ?
If mad - any suggestions on improving performance ?
Thanks

well, in contrast on my laptop, g4 powerbook, doing a similer key and background compositing for roughly 5 min film, took roughly 3 hours..id be happy (no nucleo)
if you think it's bad you may be able to tweek nucleo, i don't know if you have or havn't so im not sure., but i dbe happy, i found out today, in the creation of Azlan the lion in The lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in voodoo (i think thats teh program i could be worng) took 10 hours per frame, and that was faster then what they were used to!
