Altering the startup script "livetrace_ai.jsx" for Live Trace Batch Processing:
by manchild116 on Mar 22, 2006 at 5:51:34 pm

I am looking to find out some information regarding the Live trace effect Aharon Rabinowitz uses in his latest tutorial "Creating a Cartoon from Video".

Part of the project is to alter the startup script "livetrace_ai.jsx" for Batch Processing the pictures. Seen as i will be working with around 40,000 images i don't want to do this manually!

The idea is to go to properties and unlock the ownership, but on a mac i am having trouble as this option is not available.

Can you help at all or direct me to the right people? I am very eager to try this method but i am stuck on the starter block.

Thank you and regards

The following link is pt. II of a great tutorial, but deals with editing that file. I'm on windows so the Mac references sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher to me (doh! I'm old). Anyway, I think this is what you're looking for:
