I did something like this for a Target job a few years ago. I precomped the crawl of the text, then using careful masking I used the 3D abilities of AE to get the perspective right. It took me a while but it looked good.

if you make your text crawl, and then precompose it, Then you would just need to make both layers 3d and rotate one layer 90 degrees and then mask off the edges that were closest to the camera.

you should search the archives for text around corner. I found a n example project and made a note in my notebook which I don't have with me right now. I can't remember who made the post, and I've only got a minute or two so can't search myself.
I'm going to also add your example. Love this place. my notebook is filling up. it would be great if there were a way to search for posts that included linked projects because they really help me out.

Hi
Thank you very much i'll have a look at them this weekend,i'm a bit short of time at the moment.
If you have a picture like the one in Serge's Tutorial (in my first post)then it gets a bit tricky
working with masks.
@Serge
I still can't figure out why it doesn't work with Invigorator.I used your project as mentioned in post one.
I try to understand how it's being done.I deleted the invig.solid in order to remake it.Well,transparency
layer mapping works but my text doesn't appear.i don't know what i'm doing wrong!I use the text comp as a
layer map for the color in the Materials menu.I went through the layer mapping tutorial of John Dickinson
but i can't find the mistake!
It's a pity!!

Hi
I'm very close now.I did the .AI file in Photoshop but it not very good.How do you export the stroke line in
illustrator.After exporting from Illustrator, I always have a surface instead of a line in AE.
