high def not supported in AE6.5?
by Neil on Feb 24, 2006 at 5:03:08 pm

Ive got a load of high def - quicktimes, imported in Final cut. they play fine in quicktime but when i bring them into AE they get crazy colour offsetting - ive checked the 16bit option, tried loads of different settings but no luck.

cant find any stuff on the web that relates to this - i was sure AE6.5 supported high def or did i just assume this?

any ideas?

Oh, you can do hi-def in AE 6.5... but I'm wondering about the codec of those quicktimes in FCP. Have you tried exporting them as self-contained out of FCP, using one of the standard good-quality codecs, to see if there's a difference?
