Render Settings for broadcast......
by JiXer1 on Jan 30, 2006 at 6:00:15 am

I am doing a series of 15 second commercials that are all cg.
I usually deal with video comps and match the output settings to the videos compression.
I want these pieces to look as good as they can, so I did the whole thing in 16 bit color and when finished, the files will be output to Beta SP.
I am trying to find out what the best output settings would be. I am using the stock G4 video hardware and stock AE 6.5 Pro output options.
Should I make the files uncompresed QuickTime movies or is their something better?

J.

Read this thread (Jan 27):

I'll assume you're not outputting to Beta SP, otherwise you'd have the hardware for doing so and would know which codec to use for it. Therefore, someone else is outputting to Beta SP. That is the person you must contact to find out what your render settings and codec should be. You don't want them returning the files back to you for a re-render -- you could miss your deadline.
