exporting a keyed image without the background.....transparent for photoshop

Here's a good one.
After Effects 7. On a PC. Windows XP.
I have a video clip that was shot on greenscreen. Its been keyed using the native AE keyer, and looks pretty good. I have to export it as an image sequence (either Tiff or PSD) for some frame by frame photoshop cleanup work.
When I export it, I have tried the following:
toggling on and off the transparency grid of the comp; changing output colors from "thousands" to "millions +" ; and trying both straight and premultiplied color settings (matted and unmatted).
No matter what I choose, it either ends up exporting the background color, or reverts back to the greenscreen.
Has anyone seen this?
Is there a simple setting I'm missing?

Just did a test and it works okay. If you check the Channels window in Photoshop you should see the alpha...
Have you considered saving in Filmstrip (FLM) format from AE? That way you can see every frame of your sequence as a single document in Photoshop, which makes frame by frame roto work much easier.

Also ... sometimes you need to click the "options" button for your output format (TIFF, PSD, etc.) to make sure AE is outputting a 32-bit image, not 24-bit.
