butterfly made from light

Hi people,

How would you go about creating a flickering butterfly that is made purely out of light and moves randomly around the screen. (kind of like tinkerbel from peterpan, if you know what i mean)

regards,

Ranjha

i think there is tutorial out there, on making a butterfly. then just use shine, or glow to get your light butterfly. you'll have to do something thinking on your own, but this is a start. i've done it, and it wasn't that hard (if i remember correctly)

If the butterfly is small, you might be able to get away with just a few images of wings open/closed/inbetween. Make a movie and loop on re-import.

As for the path, try using write-on to draw the squiggly path, or animate the position smoothly, then apply a wiggle expression to make the butterfly wiggle about.
