it seems this plugin does not work with 5.5 or cs6, which is a shame as it's a very useful plugin to speed up AE. Is anyone using a different plugin in cs6 that does a similar job?
thankyou

Which features of Nucleo Pro are you trying to use that are not built into After Effects CS6?

The render comp in the BG feature is cool, but not near the speed of Nucleo, and Nucleo was intelligent enough to start working at full speed at any moment you stopped doing something. Also was very fast to send the comps to the BG copies of AE, with multiprocessing ON in AE comps takes sometimes long time to be sent to the other instances of AE, also we still see ram caches to vanish after hitting stop on the ram playback even after not changing anything.. I was hopping Adobe buy this technology from them and integrate it on AE, we had a very sad time when figured it was discontinued.

If you prefer not to use the built in tools in AECS6 you can always use the BG_Render script. Works great.

BG Render is great, but it doesn't do all that Nucleo Pro does/did.

One feature that After Effects CS6 has built in that is similar to a feature in Nucleo Pro is Cache Work Area In Background.

There are some resources about that feature and some related features here.

Also, you can now render After Effects compositions in the background with Adobe Media Encoder... which most people seem to miss.

Hi Todd,
Could you please point me to a link on background rendering with media encoder. I am one of those who has seemed to miss this. Thanks.

what would be really cool would be to add a comp to the ame queue straight from after effects... like a composition>add to media encoder queue. the queue itself could live in ae, so all the render settings and output module settings could be set there and the ae wold just send it to a background ame renderer.

actually, maybe the queue is the same, but there is a background render button that sends the jobs to ame....

i'll find the after effects feature request page and make this suggestion....

^agreed. A background render button within AE would be a long overdue enhancement/necessity.

Amen! Its nice to drag a comp straight into AME from AE but as you point out, but the user is not presented an option to select workspace instead or entire comp, unless you click on the preset hyperlink in AME, then wait and wait and wait for Dynamic server.

IMHO - Makes most since to add to queue as normal then click a little box saying send to AME... and off it goes to AME with all settings.
