 | Script to remove keyframes that are the same
by James Peres on Jun 11, 2012 at 12:00:30 pm |
Hi, I am having a little trouble figuring out how to go about a script to clean up the Convert Expressions to Keyframes process. I basically end up with a lot of keyframes that are essentially the same (the result of the hold keyframe). I export XML using those keyframes to having a lot of unnecessary keyframes slows things down. Is there a way to remove keyframes that don't change value?
I've come across JD_SmartBaker.jsx, but no matter what I set the tolerance to it doesn't remove many frames.
Thanks!

I don't know of a script but you can right-click on a KF and choose, Equal KFs to select all KFs that are of the same value as the KF where your Timeline Indicator is parked at.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I tried smart baker and it doesn't work: if I use a threshold high enough to remove equal keyframes, it also begins removing animation curve frames. I only want to remove keyframes that are equal.

Try setting the threshold to 10.
