Hi,

I am very new to After Effect and this may not be possible.

I was wondering if it is possible to parameterize some of texts and image files that I use in my project so I can later change them when I run the project using commandline.

This way I can produce very similar but somewhat customized videos from command line.

I tried saving the project as XML and change the text manually but that did not work.

I did diff and there are many other places that got changed so this won't work,

If commmandline doesn't work, is there a way to use script within AE?
I am using CS6.

Thanks

You might be interested in pt_OpenSesame [link], which would give you a better avenue for automation than AE's XML does, or CompsFromSpreadsheet [link].
