An Intro to Video Compression
by Jeff Kelley on Jun 27, 2008 at 5:10:52 pm

Hello there,

I subscribe to the video Podcast Multimedia 101. The only new podcast I received since 11-6-06 was An Introduction to Video Compression - Chapter 1. That was on 9-11-07. I was hoping to see Chapter 2, but now I see that in the podcast listing, Chapter 1 is gone?

Any word on this?

Chapter 1 is the first chapter of my DVD "Internet Killed the Video Star: A guide to creating video for the web."

You can get that here:

Currently, there are no plans to add new episodes to the 101 podcast. Only so much I can do in a day, and while I loved making it, there just wasn't enough time for me to do it on my own.

Best,

Aharon

Found chapter one very interesting. A bit disappointed there won't be charter two available as a podcast. Maybe I'll have to break down and buy it.

You DO have to buy it. :-)

It's by far the best, and best-selling, disk on video for the web, including podcast creation and publishing. Much of it simply isn't available anywhere else, and at $49.95, a steal.

Entertaining too! Chapter one is a mere hint at the wonders that await.

Aharon would probably say something like "it's pretty good," but it really is wonderful. I watch it regularly just because I enjoy it. Honest!

Tim
