Doug DaultonCompressor 4 and SAN: Is it required?

I am having some trouble setting up distributed rendering using Compressor 4. I've outlined the issue in the following post on the "Compression Techniques" forum.

As I suspect I may need to introduce a SAN to the equation, would interested folks pop over there and comment as needed.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi -
I answered your email earlier, without a good answer. Now, I have a good answer.

You do not need a SAN. But you need a simple network for all your Mac computers -

For Compressor 4 -

see the explanation of QuickCluster within QMaster -

ok, now, how do you do a Quickcluster using Compressor 4 ?
