We are shooting a 2.5 hour play with the HPX-370. The 370 only holds 2 64G cards at a time. Prior to the first intermission, the first 64G card will have been consumed and the camera will automatically go on to the second card. During the intermission we will pause the camera and remove the first, now consumed card and replace it with an empty card.

Once the play restarts and we start recording again, will the camera be smart enough to finish the second card (where we left off) and then once the second card is consumed, go back and start recording on the new card we placed in the first slot ?

And when we off load the files will the meta data be such that everything will just line up correctly ?

Unless you press the Slot Select switch, it will continue to record on your second card.

If you shoot in 30PN mode, you can fit more time on a 64GB card.

I am sorry, I don’t understand. I hope this makes sense.

If while shooting I fill card #1 the camera will then progress automatically to card #2. I continue recording for while.

Then at a break, I pause and remove card #1 from slot 1 and replace it with a new empty card #3.

The break ends and I continue recording on card #2.

Once that card #2 fills, will the recording automatically continue over to the empty card #3 that I inserted into slot 1 while the camera was paused ?

Yes it will, we do the same thing and have never had a problem.

You can swap out the cards while recording as well.
You can NOT put Card#3 in all the way until after you it record again if you want to make sure.

In the end though, it all does not matter. Put all the footage into a folder on the comp. and go.
