P2 Reader PCIe adapter for MacBook Pro

Hi,

I have a Panasonic AJ-PCD35P P2 Card Reader, but unfortunately it uses a PCIe interface and I want to also connect it to my MBP. Is there any adapter I can buy to hook it up to my MBP?

Please note I have the latest model 15in MBP that does not have an Express 34 Slot.

I'm not a huge fan of the size of the 17in MBP. The single card reader is nice, but it's just that...a single card reader. I may just put this one on eBay. I'm pretty sure Panasonic released the same reader I have with a USB2.0/FW800 interface sometime after.

Who cares about a slot that replaces an $20 adapter.

I just was given a new 15" too. The loss of the FW 400 slot, Expresscard 34 slot and the glossy screen relegate this laptop to an e-mail, web browsing machine, it is not equipped to do serious video production anymore. Wish I would have had the choice for a 17" model, although I too don't like lugging the bigger 17" around. It wouldn't fit into my CineBags CB-25.

FWIW, I bought the AJ-PCD2 and it is surprisingly fast, I have been pretty happy with it so far. It is not as fast as PCI-E, but it is faster than I thought it would be.

Thanks Art, but the problem (as stated in the original post) is my 15in MBP doesn't have the Express35 Slot.
