Hello,
I'm about to work in a documentary that is going to be shooted with P2 - DVCPRO HD 25p - and I'm going to edit at the same time in a MacBook Pro. Do you have any suggestions about the equipment I should have? (like HD, Macbook Pro model, etc.).
Then I'll finish the editing in a Desktop Mac Pro QuadCore 2.5 gHZ, 4.5 GB Ram, is there any problem with P2 and a non Intel Based Mac?

[Vanessa Pimentel]"mac pro is a non intel based computer. "
Then it isn't a MAC PRO. It might be a G5, which looks like a Mac Pro. But a MacPro, by definition, is an Intel.
BUT...that's nitpicking. YOu do not need an Intel to edit DVCPRO HD P2. I had been editing that format for 3 years on my G5. And the DVCPRO HD format for 5 years...starting on a G4.

You're right. It is a G5 QuadCore 2.5 gHZ and I've been working in it for 3 years and it's a very good machine. I'm using it on this documentary project. Anyway, first I'll be editing on a macbook pro (during the shootings), is there any specific issue, like necessary RAM or minimum processor?
