Syncing Timecode for Multi Camera Shoot 720PN

I have followed the manual and tried to jam sync the timecode from one camera to the other and it's not working. Has anyone had any luck with this.

It will not work in 720pN mode.

You'll have to change the cameras to 720p mode, then sync 'em, then change back to 720pN mode. No timecode (or video data, or anything else really) gets sent out the firewire port in 720pN mode, so there's no timecode to sync to.
