**I know this is the Canon camera section but I couldn't find a better place for this post.
I am looking at these two cameras, Panasonic GH1 and Nikon d90. I'm a bit of a noob with these SLR video cameras and just wondering which camera do you think is better for the price?
Also, will both cameras accept any 35mm lens? For example, I have an old Nikon 35mm with lenses from the 70's. Would these work? Thanks, any help is appreciated!

Hi,
The mic is a "Rhode Stereo" mic. Not the usual gun mic.
I don't have the Nikon yet so I can't speak on behalf of them but I really like the Pana because of the new AVCHD. I can stick a 16GB memory card and get about 2 hrs of shooting at the highest setting.
I paid about $1200 for the camera in Japan.
So price was a big factor.
But make sure you use a "Panasonic Level 1" memory cards. Otherwise you will most likely get some mis-recording with weird sound. I have never had any glitches with a Panasonic mem card but have with other brands.

I've found a d90 for very cheap that I will be getting this week. I am shooting a film this Saturday. Does this camera take very long to get used to? Are there anything besides a large SD card that I will need to shoot?
Also, I have an old 35mm Nikon. Will my lenses fit the d90? Or is there an adapter I need?
Most of the film is silent but there are 2 scenes with sound. I know its a low budget way but could I use my dvx to record the sound then match them in post?
