To much Blue in my Pictures

Hello all you Experts,
I'm shooting with a Canon D20, 28-135mm lens with a UV Protector and a 550EX Speedflash. I'm getting blue in my pictures from shooting inside for a Bridal Shower. The room is surrounded by windows. I now have to color correct my images in Photoshop CS2. I think it's because of the lighting situation, but there's plenty of natural sunlight coming through the windows. Can anyone explain why there's a blue tint. I would like to be aware of this problem and correct it so there's less work for me to do later. Could it be that I'm using the UV Protector when shooting on the inside?
Thanks for your comments in advance.

What is your white balance set to? You need to make sure it matches the source. If sunlight is the dominant light source then shooting in daylight mode should be fine. Also, try auto WB< sometimes it will work just fine. Also get a gray card or Expodisc too. Here's a link that might help.
