Wired remote trigger for a small 4 -8 meg. camera?
by Tim Danyo on Sep 18, 2006 at 10:51:46 pm

I'm a videographer who wants to experiment with mounting a small digital camera onto my video camera so I can capture hi res images that coincide with the video. Are there any small digital camera that can utilize some type of wired trigger system? Most don't, but is there an exception to this? What about a usb wired trigger? I need to take pictures at the same time I'm video taping.

Thanks!
Tim

My wife has the 5060 and we've been really happy with it. I'm sure the newer ones are even better.

In the description for that cable is a list of Olympus digital cameras that that remote works with...the 5060 is one of them.

Thanks for the link, but these cameras are too big for what I'm trying to do. I need a camera that is very small, like a point and shoot type, but has a pretty big lcd viewfinder. I'm thinking of mounting it to the hot shoe of my sony pd150 so it needs to be a smaller form factor. My concerenes are weight and visibility.
