Apple's Aperture
by tom (Tom) on Jun 26, 2006 at 11:16:39 am

Just asking if anyone is using mthe program Aperture program yet? How would you rate it compared to PhotoShop? Also if one is using this on their Mac and saves to jpeg will someone with a pc be able to open the files. I guess I am asking if jpegs are the same on each platform.

Thank you all for the help
Tom

Tom,

You might want to compare Aperture with Adobe Lightroom. Lightroom is a free Beta 3 download from adobe.com. This software is a workflow software and shouldn't be compared to Photoshop. It will give a digital photographer a way to import, rank and make global adjustments to images, but Photoshop will handle precise editing and manipulation. It is meant as a companion to Photoshop.
