Nikon Film Scanner Driver

Many moons ago, I took the advice of several kind folks in this forum and purchased a used Nikon film scanner. Hooked it up to the PC and started scanning for all I was worth. Filled up the hard drive so fast that I had to install a bigger one. Took the opportunity to upgrade from Windows ME to Windows 2000. One problem..... now I can't seem to find a driver for a Nikon Coolscan LS 20 to work on Windows 2000. (The software that came with the scanner is for a Mac; I downloaded the Windows version from the Nikon website.)
I've gotten no reply from the folks at Nikon (they probably hope I'll get ticked and buy a new one) and was wanting to see if there is an alternative driver, or if the scanner is too old to work on this new OS.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
