transfer to web
by tom (Tom) on Mar 23, 2006 at 3:18:36 pm

Had a request last month and I don't know if it is possible or not so I am asking you folks. Is it possible using, say Nikon D70 to transfer instantly and wireless to a pc for the web. Client said he saw this where the photographers takes were instantly put on the web for a client. I have never seen anything like this.

thanks all

Tom

Nikon makes a WT-2A wireless transmitter, allowing for transfer to a network or laptop, even allowing for remote control of the camera through a computer. The older WT-1A does not allow this, and is also only 802.11b, where the WT-2A is b/g

But, the 1A is discontinued, and the 2A only works with a D2Hs or D2X. Basically, you can use the 2A with the FTP protocol, so you should be able to upload straight to the internet, but you will need some sort of access point or ad hoc network setup, so you'll need a laptop and/or wireless router.
