Hi all,
New to this forum, but not to Dreamweaver, a thousand thanks in advance!
For 3 days now I've been trying to use Lightbox via extensions manager in Dreamweaver CS4 to recode my images into scaleable closeups. Three times I've got it to work, no problem, except the 'close' and 'loading' images don't appear. They are in the same folder as the 'previous' and 'next' gifs, the .js and .css seems to be linking in the correct place, but still no-go. Have googled the problem, found someone with an identical one where the solution definitely had to do with linking/location, but their site was no longer live for me to compare to my own.
ANYHOW, fourth go recoding the same site, and this time a site-wide link check revealed the offending gif files. GLEE! I thought, and re-linked 'close' and 'loading' to their corresponding gifs. Now the entire lightbox structure has gone belly up.
I KNOW this is a simple solve, but I can't for the life of me find it. If there's any way I could not have to recode a fifth time and still not get my closing/loading buttons, well, I'd be Thankful with a capital T.

(background, this is a website for a masters dissertation, it's being marked tomorrow 8am Scotland time, and though they already have a previous version with outdated scrolly pop-out windows, I'd be a thousand shades of grateful if I could figure out this revision and re-post the site with the improvements before it gets marked)

Here's the first page with the lightbox fiasco:

Again, thanks!
stef

Check to see where your buttons are located for your site (i.e. images folder, etc.) Then check the javascript stylesheet and be sure that the links are properly pointing to the buttons. If there is no stylesheet, check wherever the code is that points to those buttons and be sure they are linked properly.

I haven't used Lightbox, but I used Colorbox, and when my buttons weren't showing, this is how I ended up solving it.
