Sending bulk emails

I need to send out about 3000 emails I was wondering if there was a special piece of software that i should use or if I should just use my gmail account... If I do use my gmail account do I need to put commas after each address???

There are some software out there, but I haven't used it yet.

This is what I sometimes use... We send out around 12000 emails every month and MailChimp has been pretty easy to learn and use.
