spry menu bar
by Crystelle Dalla Betta on Jan 16, 2009 at 3:52:15 am

hi everyone. I'm having an issue with my spry menu bar. Everything works fine in Safari and Firefox on Mac. But on IE and Firefox on PC, it's being hidden by the flash player.

The site is sonyaphoto.org

The css:

@charset "UTF-8";

Hi Crystelle

I think this is the same problem we have seen before, in that you are fighting an issue with the stacking order of Flash content.

Flash content always shows on top of other content no matter how you try to use the z-index to stack it lower and so the problem is not in your spry.css, it is in the flash mode that is in your page.

The Adobe site says that you can set the WMODE to allow the stacking of flash elements:

http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15523

Hopefully this will help you but please feedaback if it does or not.

No Problem... I know you had had it for a while, because i saw that you had posted elsewhere the same question in other forums before Xmas... Now you the best forum to come to :o)

To sum ensure others understand, you added the code
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
and this now works right...?
