Quicktime file slow loading

Hello!
I have created a simple website (endeavorproductions.com) that opens to a quicktime file. I have set up to play upon loading and it has no controller bar showing. It takes much too long to load, about 1.5 to 2 minutes on my computer system as well as a few others I've tested (to include Macs and PCs). The quicktime file size is about 13.5 MB. When the quicktime video is done, I have set up to be able to click on the video frame itself to enter the next page, which is the main page of my site. This page has two quicktime videos on it as well, with similar file sizes but smaller dimensions, and the controller bars are visible. These appear to load and be ready to play within seconds. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

Hello Jennifer
What are you asking? Is it how to make the video load quicker or how to put a controller visible on the screen with the first movie...?
Did you create the first movie yourself? if so, what did you use? I would suggest that it needs to be compressed by quite a bit to enable it to be loaded quicker. it is not a long video at all so it can be compressed right down and it should not lose its quality at all.
Personally i would embed the video into flash to enable you to put a proper button onto the screen to your main site, and to also enable the visitor to skip the intro, or even to enable the site to switch itself from the intro to the main site.
If you did it in flash, you could also set the width of the wideo to match the stage width, which means it would stretch or shrink depending on peoples screen resolution settings, this is nice when you have your type of effect because it takes away the box from around the movie if someone is watching it at high res.
The other videos on page two are compressed for the web, this is why they load so quickly.

Hello Jennifer
I notice you have changed your video to load fully now before it starts to play... That looks nice, but i still think you could compress it further to load it quicker... if you would like some help with this, please just ask

Hi Richard,
Thanks so much for your comments and follow up. I really appreciate it! Yes, I would love some guidance to make this file load more quickly. The person who created the short "film" compressed it for me this week and that is what you now see....although obviously it is still loading way to slow and I'm not happy with the quality. I know it can be better....he created it in Adobe After Effects. Our trailers on the second page of our site look perfect and seem to load just as they should.
Also, I am very interested in redoing it in Flash as you had suggested. I have always known that this would be the best way to do it. I have Flash MX 2004, but have never used it. Do you have any suggestions for tutorials so that I may accomplish what should be a fairly simple task?

firstly... could you zip and upload the video file and post a link...? Can you explain the clip a little better?
i.e.
You are flying through space, and then reach a dead planet, then it kind of transforms into earth...?
Do you have any of the origional elements? the background image to your title etc...? i am by no means an expert with flash, but i would quite enjoy giving this a go for you if you didn't mind? I don't want anything for it, i would just enjoy trying to be honest.

Looks like I missed your post before sending my last reply. Could I just email you some files? They were created in After Effects. What is your email address?
I would so much appreciate any help you could give....I certainly wouldn't mind.....I'd be so happy!!!
My goal is to make it function like you had suggested in your first reply, ie: a proper button, be able to skip to main page, have the film be able to auto-adjust to the user's screen size.

Hello Richard,
I have spent a couple hours trying to dive into Flash and realize that I'm in over my head. We have so many projects and things in the works right now with our production company I wondered if you might be able to help. Perhaps we could collaborate on some future projects? Are you at all interested in getting involved in a film production company?
Thanks,
Jennifer
