Dreamweaver uploading .asp extension
by Nicola Tilling on Jul 22, 2008 at 2:12:18 pm

Hi

I'm uploading an existing site onto the internet. The connections are all working but when I look at the site www.mysticmatters.com nothing appears.

The only difference to other sites that I have uploaded in the past is that the extension is .asp (index.asp) as opposed to htm. Is this the problem or do I need to be using another software (i.e. not Dreamweaver) to upload this site?

Can anyone help, please?

Nicola

This is not a Dreamweaver problem with the uploading of files but rather a server problem. The server needs to be setup to accept asp extension files as possible index files. If this is not configured properly the asp extension will not work. Not only the index file but the server needs to be setup to be able to handle asp files in general as well.
