by Vicente Galgo on Jul 4, 2008 at 12:13:27 am

Hello everybody,

I'd like to know if I embedd a Quicktime video in my website, people without the programm installed will receive some kind of message, suggesting they can download it and install it...

I wouldn't like to give an error message to anybody !

Many thanks,

I mean, will the lastests IE and Firefox ask for download it, or are they ready to play any quicktime file ?
And the old versions ?

Thanks!

Initially, I believe, IE asks for both Flash and Quicktime while Firefox has them ready to go by default.

Quicktime is a good choice and most people do have Quicktime in their browsers. Flash is used a little more frequently however. If I were to choose between the two I would choose Flash for compatibility by more users.

Thanks Abraham ! Good info, I'll try falsh so. I should do an export from flash, I hope the quality doesn't get much involved. I'll report the results here.
