Pages opening in seperate windows
by Logan Brinsfield on Mar 18, 2008 at 10:26:48 pm

All of my buttons were made in Adobe Flash and each button has been linked to a different page on my website. However, each page is opening in a separate tab/window. How do I fix it so this doesn't happen?

You've got to go into your Flash file and change the link attribute to open in the same window. This would be something done through Adobe Flash. Right now your flash file is probably setup as target='_blank' you want target='_top'

I gave it a shot and they still seem to be opening in separate tabs. I could be doing something else wrong so I'll post a screen-shot of the code:

And for the record, I also tried it without actually including the "target=" part of it as well.

That should work fine - are you sure you re-exported the movie, uploaded, and shift+refreshed the page after you made the change...

Shift + refresh makes sure your browser isn't using a cached version of the swf file.
