newbie video questions
by JHST on Jan 10, 2008 at 11:07:58 pm

Greetings all:
So, I'm hoping to create a webpage that plays a full page video (rather than a small embedded video) when someone comes to our site and, having no clue, thought i'd send out an SOS. The idea is that while the site is "under construction" a video (created in pro) will play saying what the website will be...

Additionally (thanks if you're still reading), once we've got a working page, is it possible to have a video that when it stops has buttons (i'm using encore language, i know, but...), a person could click on and be sent to that page...I'm thinking this needs to be a still or something placed at the end of the video, but really, truly, have no idea.

Any and all help would be much appreciated...

If you want to stretch a Flash video across the entire screen you can set the height and width of the video to 100%. Of course the SWF needs to be the only thing on the page, otherwise the other elements will stop it from stretching, unless of course it is floating.

To add more to the video at the end of it playing you'll need to edit the Flash file itself. Add a stop command at the last frame of your movie and add your link to that frame.

Hope this helps,

Abraham
