Opening Files in their proprietary Applications

Howdy Cowpokes,

I want the user to be able to click on a link and have various files open in their respective applications (pdf's in Acrobat, WMV's in Windows Media, ect

How files are opened is determined by their browser prefs. It also differs in design by browser. I don't think this is something you can easily, if at all, control.
