Need help with Adobe Flash CS4 bones
by Liz Bitz on Aug 14, 2009 at 9:25:12 am

Hi there, I'm new to Adobe Flash, so please pardon any noobishness.

So here's the problem: I've got a leg, with a pretty intricate design on it, like a tattoo. Now, when I try to add bones to it, Flash complains that the shape is too complex. It seems as though Flash thinks that I want to add bones to the tattoo, but I don't. I just want to add bones to the leg itself, and of course have the tattoo move with the leg.

Is there any way I can get the tattoo to be treated as a static decoration on the shape, like a texture on a 3d model? Or is there a way to get the tattoo to move with the leg's armature without being apart of it?

Note I did try converting it into a movie clip and using combine, but they didn't help.

Thank you for offering your suggestions.
