Trouble Exporting in Proper Dimensions

I have created a flash project 400w by 75h to be embedded in a site. I have a text box that is 800w by 75h running through the dimensions I have set the movie to. However when I export it it doesn't give me the 400 by 75 box, instead it gives me the whole line of text moving across. I want the movie to publish only what the dimensions of the movie is and not the whole line of text. Can someone help me? This is beyond me.
