Random code giving unusual result

Hi, just found this fabulous site and have been trying out some of the flash tutorials. Most seem to work, although I have an old version of Flash MX (2002).

However, the "Creating Random Motion" tutorial by Lee Brimelow works up to the point where I have loads of little circles conglomerating into a big mass on the screen and staying there. ie.they don't move on to their next destination.

Anyone know where I'm going wrong? The code is correct as I've checked it umpteen times.

I should say, that one or two circles seem to continue moving, whilst the rest just stick at the point they go to.
