Roll over animated buttons

Hi there,
This is perhaps a very simple thing to ask for but I cannot find an answer or tutorial anywhere.

I am making animated buttons for a website and I want them to react when the mouse rolls over them. I have got them to activate at the right time by incerting a movie clip in the 'over' frame of the button.
However, if the mouse is removed from the button whilst the movieclip is playing is instantly jumps back to the beginning. I want it to animate out!!! How can I achieve this or when can I go for instruction???????????????

Please help someone.

Roll Over Buttons with slow dissolve
