Adding Captions to FLVs or Quicktime
by Steve Crow on Sep 12, 2008 at 12:08:56 am

I don't actually own Flash but I often encode my videos into FLVs. Here's my basic question: how can I set up either a FLV or Quicktime movie to display captions? Regarding the player, can this be done with the JW FLV Media Player as "the player?"

Short answer is yes, JW FLV Player supports DFXP caption files. CS3 also comes with caption skins which also read DFXP caption files. How-to videos are here:

QuickTime on the other hand supports QT.TXT QuickTime text files. How-to videos are here: www.automaticsync.com/help
