Has anyone used 'Captionate' to add Close Caption to a Flash video?
by Mike Pell on Sep 7, 2008 at 11:50:31 pm

I have to Close Caption a Flash video for a website and one program available for this is Captionate. Has anyone used this with a Flash video for CC on a website? Thanks, Mike 623-516-1975

You can actually just script all that for yourself, without using any kind of 3rd party software. I haven't worked with Captionate yet, so I'm not sure how good it is.

I think it's a little odd that they didn't add a single demo and only added one or two screenshots to their website.

Kind regards,
Pieter

General notice: from now on, I would like to ask everyone to put [AS2] or [AS3] (corresponding to the version of actionscript you are using on your project) in front of their post titles when the question is actionscript related! Please help us help you faster. Thank you.

Yeah, some of the close captioning programs have demos. I need something that will work in a MAC. You seem pretty knowledgeable on a variety of these topics, would it be possible to call you and ask some questions to speed things along? Thanks, Mike 623-516-1975

If you have skype, sure. :) I live in Belgium, so that would be a rather costly phonecall for you.

My skype ID is: pieter_helsen

Kind regards,
Pieter
