AS2.0 - Carousel Animation?

Can AS2.0 do the carousel animation I see everywhere now? I did a tutorial for it in AS3.0 and got it to work, but now I want to do some other things with it ie: reference XML on image rollover, but I don't really know how to make it work.
Are there any tutorial out there for this?
or
If I upload some code, so I get a bit of help getting things working in AS3?
I have the XML and the Carousel working on the same swf, just not together.
