Audio Video Sync'ing a SWF
by Lance Rice on Jul 15, 2008 at 10:43:38 pm

I produced a video in premier that needs to be in a .swf format for a video player we recently created. However everytime I play the swf file the audio and video become out of sync. Is there anyway to lock then together? It needs to be swf since flv's do not work in this player.

Thanks!

you should mix the audio and video in a video editing software like premier or after effects to fix the sync. issue.

The video itself was created in premier then converted in flash. I found that if I lowered the frame rate to 12fps it played correctly so might have just been some incompatibility issue. Hopefully the local testing suggests the same results once it goes live.

Your framerate should be the same as it is in premier. So if you have a framerate of 30, your fps in flash should also be set to 30. Setting different framerates can cause your sound to become unsynced.

Kind regards,
Pieter
