Pop up window using javascript
by manny rellesiva on Jul 15, 2008 at 8:57:45 am

my movie uses loadmovie action and it's loading another swf on level one. This loaded movie has buttons. What I would like to accomplish is when a button is click (which is inside the loaded movie), a new window will pop up with the exact dimension of the quicktime movie. I know that javascript can be used to accomplish this.can anyone point me to any tutorial site that could help me accomplish this? IM using flash cs3 on windows xp pro. on publish settings, i used actionscript 2.0 because im more familiar with this than 3.0. thanks in advance.

you can pop new windows from flash with javacript like:

getURL("javascript:window.open('popup.html')");
